The location and number of power sockets are determined to facilitate the use of household appliances. The beauty of interior decoration plays an important role. The layout of power sockets should be carried out according to the planned location of indoor household appliances and furniture, and close attention should be paid to the cooperation with relevant professions such as building decoration to determine the correctness of the socket location.

1. The power sockets should be installed on no less than two symmetrical walls. The horizontal distance between the two power sockets on each wall should not exceed 2.5m~3m, and the distance from the end wall should not exceed 0.6m.

2. Ordinary power sockets without special requirements should be installed 0.3m away from the ground, and special sockets for washing machines should be installed 1.6m away from the ground, with indicator lights and switches;

3. The air conditioner should use a dedicated power socket with a switch. In the case of a certain type of air conditioner, the power sockets of the air conditioner should be arranged in the following positions:

①The power socket of the split type air conditioner should be set at 1.8m from the ground according to the position of the reserved hole of the outlet pipe;

②The power socket of the window air conditioner should be set at a place 1.4m from the ground beside the window;

③The power socket of the cabinet type air conditioner should be set at the corresponding position 0.3m away from the ground. Otherwise, consider reserving 16A power sockets for split air conditioners, and install them on the load-bearing wall near the outer wall or near the daylighting window.

4. In all rooms equipped with cable TV terminal boxes or computer sockets, at least two five-hole combination power sockets should be arranged next to the cable TV terminal boxes or computer sockets to meet the needs of TV, VCD, audio power amplifier or computer. Use multifunctional combined power sockets (at least 3 to 5 different two-hole and three-hole sockets are arranged on the panel), and the horizontal distance between the power socket and the cable TV terminal box or the computer socket is not less than 0.3m;

5. The living room (living room) is the main activity place where people are concentrated. There are many household appliances. The design should be based on the layout of the building decoration layout, and it should be ensured that there are power sockets on each main wall. If the wall length exceeds 3.6m, the number of sockets should be increased. The wall length is less than 3m, and the power socket can be set in the middle of the wall. There are power sockets next to the cable TV terminal box and computer sockets, and power sockets for the air conditioner. Power sockets with switches should be used in the living room;

6. The bedroom should ensure that the two main symmetrical walls are equipped with combined power sockets. When the end of the bed is against the wall, both sides of the bed should be equipped with combined power sockets and air-conditioner power sockets. There should be two sets of combined power sockets beside the cable TV terminal box and the computer socket, and only the power socket for the computer should be provided in the single bedroom;

7. In addition to the wall where the bookcase is placed, the study should ensure that the two main walls are equipped with combined power sockets, and equipped with air-conditioner power sockets and computer power sockets;

8. The kitchen should be equipped with multiple power sockets at different locations and heights according to the layout of the building decoration to meet the needs of range hoods, disinfection cabinets, microwave ovens, rice cookers, electric water heaters, refrigerators and other electric cooking appliances. Refer to the layout of the stove, operating table, counter, and washing table to select the best position to set the range hood socket, generally 1.8m~2m from the ground. The electric water heater should use a 16A three-wire socket with switch and install it on the right side of the water heater 1.4m~1.5m from the ground. Be careful not to install the socket above the electric heater. The power sockets of other electric cookers are set at different positions and heights under the wall cabinet or above the operating table. The sockets should be equipped with power indicator lights and switches. When installing a refrigerator in the kitchen, a special socket should be installed, 0.3m~1.5m away from the ground;

9. It is strictly forbidden to install power sockets in the wet places in the bathroom, such as the shower area or the bathtub. The power sockets in other areas should be splash-proof. When there are external windows, the exhaust fan junction box or socket should be reserved beside the external window. Since the exhaust air duct is generally near the shower area or bathtub, the junction box or socket should be installed at least 2.25m from the ground. Reserve electric water heater sockets and power sockets for bidets 0.6m away from the shower area or the outer edge of the bathtub. Set up power sockets for beauty and shaving beside the sink mirror, 1.5m~1.6m from the ground. The socket should be equipped with a switch and indicator light;

10. The balcony should be provided with a single-phase combined power socket, 0.3m from the ground.

Although the switch socket is not a "big piece" like home appliances, it is related to the daily safety of the family, and it is the first line of defense to ensure the household electrical safety, so you must not be sloppy when choosing a switch socket. Electrical experts specially reminded that different types of switches and sockets are matched in different places. For families with children, in order to prevent children from touching the socket holes with their fingers or metal objects, they should choose a safety socket with a fuse.
